Pamela Shockey graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art, from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. She concentrated in studio art, focusing on painting and drawing.
She has two very distinct styles that she continues to develop simultaneously. She paints on a part time basis, and continues to accept commission requests for both her unique styles. One
technique is a more traditional method where she uses oil paint to create landscapes with an impressionistic feel. She captures the light and texture of the rich landscape, regardless of whether she's depicting the rolling hills of Virginia or the rocky shore of Maine. Her opposing style uses acrylic paint in punchy colors and commonly portrays local wildlife. She combines her skill of painting and drawing to objectify her subject giving it a pop art sensibility.
